In nature, taking the forest in through the senses is called forest bathing. The subtle yet powerful effects of being in nature is felt I’m sure you’ve felt it, the positive feeling and energy you get after being outside. From breathing in the fresh air, with trees and plants around us. To walking on different terrain.
Immerse in nature with your senses.

12 Secrets of How Yoga can help with Mindfulness in 2022!
Before we begin, we have to define what mindfulness actually is. I like the explanation from the book “The Neuroscience of Mindfulness” by Dr Stan Rodski, he explains, that “once upon a time we used words like relaxation, hypnosis, meditation, yoga . . . Well, mindfulness is a relatively new term that’s plucked out of what is the essential aspect of all of them
Burnt Out? How to "Yin" out.
Feeling tired? Emotionally exhausted?
Feeling overwhelmed? or maybe even anxious in uncertain times. Maybe your motivation is non-existent lately? A sort of drained feeling.
A feeling of being drained doesn’t help us get what we need done, work-wise or personally. Or even to find motivation to work on things, like passion projects or hobbies.
Connection and community when practicing online yoga
With the increase of online yoga in the last few months, I’ve heard many of my friends and students say I miss seeing you and talking to you before and after a yoga class. The face to face is missing right now during these unprecedented times, but will eventually return.
When we connect with someone in person, face to face, no one will argue the connection is better than online. But there are ways we can still create a sense of connection and community virtually and in the online yoga world.
The Gift of Time
Today marks the end of the seventh week for me of being in lockdown, staying safe at home, and also working from home full time, due to the pandemic of COVID 19. Today is also the last day of April and my birthday month!
Fall a season for transition. A season of change.
Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.” By: Carol Bishop Hipps
As we approach the end of October in the northern hemisphere, a changing season is rampantly upon us.
It’s change we can see.
It’s change we can feel.
It’s one of my favourite seasons, the fall season, as it brings
Meditation, a witness to the mind.
By Marzena Wojcik September 2019
“Your goal is not to battle with the mind, but to witness the mind.” Swami Muktananda
I love this quote which I think explains the practice of meditation in a simple way. Well it describes what is supposed to happen when we meditate. As we aren’t supposed to try to control or fight a thought, feeling or emotion that may come up, while we sit quietly and breathe. We are supposed to just witness what arises and refocus the mind to our breathing. This practice is meditation.

Top 5 Yoga Podcasts to Listen to in 2019!
If you’re not listening to the following 5 yoga podcasts, where have you been?! I think they are must adds to your listening yoga needs, as they are inspiring and educational.
Since, I’m an avid listener I’d thought I’d share with you this list, so you too can enjoy all the great content out there!
You may be thinking, what makes me qualified to suggest which yoga podcasts are worth listening to?!
Firstly, I love podcasts as I’ve been listening to them for the last 3 years, which has given me plenty of time to observe what is actually worth your precious time to listen to. Secondly, I consider myself to be a weekly podcast junkie, as I listen to podcasts frequently, including on my walks to work, or when I’m working on simple tasks, cooking, driving or generally when I don’t feel like listening to music and want to absorb new ideas and information. I average about 25-30hrs of podcast listening on a weekly basis, that’s an average 5hrs per day. I love learning on the go and hearing differing perspectives and how we can just listen to information, or be guided through a meditation for any mood. Truly sharing ideas, information and learning in the process via audio recordings.
My Top 10 Notables of 2018
As the last day of 2018 is here I sit here and reflect back on what a year its been and goals/things I wanted to complete. In short my goals in 2018 were simply spend more time in nature, bring more yin yoga classes to the community, and spend more time with family and friends BUT all with practicing true presence and mindfulness…I’m talking about limited phone presence, unless I was taking photos, more eye contact and truly listening rather than waiting to talk.
